New goalkeeper Declan Lafferty did well to parry a goal chance as the Drumconrath defenders got back to clear the loose ball. Further points from Byrne (2) and a long distance shot from Tomas Conlon put Drums 0-5 to 0-1 ahead as St Marys pointed late on to leave just 3 in it at the break.
